Australian Industrial Property Organisation

Permanent exhibition

Australian Industrial Property Organisation is located in Canberra. The exhibition is situated in the foyer and designed to motivate visitors to get their ideas patented/trademarked.

The vertical 16 meter tall slate tells the story from idea to patent, and product to trademark. Featuring some of
well known brands such as Redheads – the matchboxes and the Hills Hoist, the icon object defining an
Australian back yard.

To create attention we used large colourfull photo composites on the tall slate combined with simple type.

The horizontal curved lightbox displays many succes stories within Australian invention.

A collaborative project with designers Malene Oud and Dom Bartolo and architect Bilyana Smith.
Besides being a designer on the project I also did the research in finding which stories to feature.
