Branding of fast food

The project involved branding a new fresh fast food concept located in Stadium Australia for the Sydney Olympics.

The food shops were called Big Pizza, Big Burger, Big Fish, Big Natural, Big Noodle, Big Bar because at the time Stadim Australia was the biggest stadium in the world. The project was also big it self with some 45 food concessions in varying spaces needing to be branded.

We started the project while the stadium was still being built – many presentatons were held wearing hard hats!

The individual food shops were colour coded in bright colours to stand out in an otherwise concrete clad environment of the hallways inside the stadium. Most of the graphics were placed up high to be visible with many customers crowding the shops at breaktime during the sporting events.

A series of icons were developed to be understood by non english speaking customers. These icons were later used for packaging.

The project was developed in a team with architect Andrea Nixon.
