Modern issues in New Zealand are communicated through fiction and non fiction in the textbook. A teachers guide with excersises and a CD with voice over of the texts complete the package.
Using the vibrant colours of the pacific region, the graphic illustration style throughout the book integrates traditional Maori symbols: the fern, the Tikki and tribal tattoos.

My name is Ulla Korgaard and I work and teach within the field of graphic design.
I am based in Copenhagen, Denmark, but lived in Australia for 10 years where I achieved my degree in Design, Visual Communication, from University of Technology, Sydney in 1994. Since then I have been working on a broad range of visual communication projects for a variety of clients.
My attitude to design is creative and strategic. Effective graphic design is a means to uniquely communicate and convey the right message to the relevant audience.
