As Australia is a very large continent it is difficult to know what happens in the out back. Australia Council sent Cultural Officer Emma Wise travelling through the outback of New South Wales for 12 months, investigating and documenting cultural activity and generating new cultural workshops.
The result became a box of loose leaf sheets of information, stories and photos that I designed. The box was distributed to libraries and schools around the country.

My name is Ulla Korgaard and I work and teach within the field of graphic design.
I am based in Copenhagen, Denmark, but lived in Australia for 10 years where I achieved my degree in Design, Visual Communication, from University of Technology, Sydney in 1994. Since then I have been working on a broad range of visual communication projects for a variety of clients.
My attitude to design is creative and strategic. Effective graphic design is a means to uniquely communicate and convey the right message to the relevant audience.
